If You Haven't Heard from Someone In Years, And They Know You Need Them, The!

Question: We often make the mistake of assuming that just because we have a friendship/relationship with someone, and they know us a bit, that they will automatically sense when something is wrong in our lives. It doesn't work that way. There could be numerous reasons that someone hasn't contacted you. They could range from ingnorance of your situation to indifference. Sometimes people do want to help but hey don't know how so they keep away and sometimes they have their own stuff going on and could be feeling like you.
The only way to find out is to pick up that phone and TALK, if you still get the feeling that they don't care, well that's one less problem to concentrate on and time to find other sources of strength and comfort.
Good luck.
:-)

They don't care about you. :0(

Communication works both ways. I have had people calling me after I had already left numerous messages to them. I never judge, I just listen and am there ! No questions asked !

Wrong. Those are the words of somebody who is obsessed and/or jealous. Nobody "needs" any one person, save for a baby, child, or invalid who needs somebody to care for them, and in those cases, although there may be a preference for who it is that does the caretaking, that caretaker can be substituted for anybody else who is qualified. Think of the crackhead mothers who abandon their babies at the Fire Department or hospital: those babies need a mother; not a crackhead.
Relating back to your question, I suppose they don't care, but do you really NEED that person? Is it their responsibility to take care of you?

Not always no...some people find it hard to make the first move.

Not necessarily -they may know that you need them but think you don't want them around. If they matter to you, try contacting them again.

Sometimes they feel helpless, sometimes you need to ask, and sometimes they really don't care.~~Peace~~

Doesn't mean they don't care. May just mean that you need to try a new brand of deodorant.

hmmm... kinda sounds like the Government too.
