Why is everyone asking for a star?!

Question: Because the one who gets star feels that he is good at something.
More than that the one who gives star feels that he is making somebody happy
Still more than that everybody in yahoo answers gets encouragement to participate in yahoo Q/A.

i'm going to give you a star.

cuz they are being selfish and dont wanna get them the "old-fashioned" way lol.....

Because they are ?SHINY?. :D

Their desperate. I just give it to them just so they will be happy.

lol i'm not sure, but i like giving em away too =)
well if the questions are interesting

dunno, attention???

because they think their question is helpful or applicable to a lot of people

because stars will be seen as interesting by the person's ( who star the question ) contacts and they might answer too

idk, theres not point to them

No clue theyre no good.

Sorry I hate when people post a quest like that but its a good one trust me!!

I love how this question is gonna get a bunch of stars for ya =P

Because they want to feel up in space.

cause they are loser beggars........

Cuz they're losers!

it makes them feel that they're asking sensibly..

Why is this question getting stars?
Everyone wants stars because it makes them feel good to know that others found their question intriguing. Personally, I forget about the stars quite often. I often wonder why some questions get a ton of answers when they're not really thought provoking, but those that are get only one or two people giving a shot at answering.

just to know if anyone read the question posted

I was just wondering the same thing. I thought you suppose to ask a question if you want advice, see opinions/responses from people, see if your view can be shared, but never as a popularity contest. I don't get it!!!!!!!

I don't know.
