Survey: how do you stop yourself from being paranoid?!


Question: You can be paranoid for several reasons really. It is basically a part of the brain that is effected due to a disorder than be linked to anxiety which is a mild form of depression. Some people think that they are being watched all the time which is a case of being self conscious. Others can avoid being paranoid simply because they just don't care about anything or anybody which in a way is a kind of selfishness. Some drivers just park their cars the way they want not considering drivers is an example. People who usually care about others can be paranoid because it is just the way their mind operates as they just hate offending others in all sorts of ways. They will usually put others before themselves, and by their own consideration they can be paranoid if they think they have failed someone.
I don't think that you can actually stop yourself from being paranoid, it can be an everyday issue for some but depending on the seriousness of the paranoia, I think that the only way is to have counselling to either try and come to terms with it or see life from a different perspective.

Just stop what you're doing for a minute. Close your eyes, and breathe in and out for 10 seconds.(sounds like that really corny meditation stuff but it works) Imagine a relaxing beach or your dream place and think like that for a while.


Then when you're back in the real world distract yourself with something you like - I dunno, watch your favourite film, listen to tunes, play some games, anything that gets you to unwind.

And my FAVOURITE one of all----> Sleep. welcome that bed and welcome the slumber into your arms and let the night take you.

I suffer from terminal paranoia, that's from a lifetime of being called useless and stupid.

I dont know, but i would face whatever it is im paranoid about.

That's a hard one! I just keep telling myself that I'm just being paranoid! Face your fears head on! Paranoia is just fear of something that might happen.You can't live a happy and healthy life thinking what if. What if this happens or what if that happens.What if's will eat you alive. Just get past it by doing what your afraid of. You maybe happily surprise by the result! ?
