I think that it is quite dumb as well just a stupid awser nobody should know what you think unless you want them too.
But i think they are just being a little over the top with this awsers thing if you want to vote ,

I think the purpose of this thing is for people to have more simmlar awsers if you get picked best awser and you get points they must think it will encourage more people to awser more seriously.

I have checked this out. If you got to 'in voting' and pick your own answer as best (which I would imagine most people would) then of course the other people are doing the same, so the points are split. Somewhere I remembered reading, you get 3 points if you vote, but if you are voted for you get 4 - or something.
You get points for going to the trouble of choosing Best Answer but I cant remember how many.
