l give a thumbs down to an answer that l disagree with........but that does not mean to say that l am right also.

Very rarely - it becomes more difficult the more points you have.
I like to think that a thumbs down means you know it is the incorrect answer, but as you move up the levels, your thumbs downing becomes more powerful and it is instant "zap". This means I often let totally misleading answers pass for someone else to correct.
No, I'm not giving any 'cause I'm still on level one. But it depends on the answer if its silly or not appropriate/offensive =D.
I give thumbs down ONLY to people who are being racist or saying things like, "She deserved to be raped." Just stupid things like that. Otherwise, I do not thumbs down anyone else and yes, I have told the people (at least three) that I gave them the TD...
If I do not agree with something someone says, I just do not give them a thumbs up. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, no matter how "odd" it may seem to the rest of the world.
