Question: When deciding Best Answer for your question, do you favour your contacts?
I know I did in my old account but for my new one I decided to minimize my contacts and have noticed my Best Answer % is way down.

I am like you I have dumped all my contacts and fans and started over (out of necessity) but always pick best answer on whomever took the time to give a thoughtful answer. I really am not much into the best answer gig anyway so it doesn't matter if I get a best answer just that I GIVE one. Thanks
Well I only have one contact so I can't really favour them.
I don't have any so, no. But I do favor a certain few that answer my Q's a lot.

No, I do not favor my contacts. If one of them has the best answer out of all of the a's, I give it to them. If someone who is not on my contact list has the best answer out of all of them, they get it.
No offense to my contacts, but I like to be fair. However, not many of my contacts answer my q's a lot so I guess I'm lucky enough not to have to make that decision all the time.
I think I would determine best answer by the actual answer. If there were more than one really good answers then I would choose a contact. I know most best answers go to contacts but I would look at giving best answers as a way to make even more friends and contacts. Nice question.
What is really hilarious is when people have more than one account and award themselves the best answers. They think others don't know but I just laugh at them.

I just look for a best answer, if one doesn't stick out then I might give it to one of my contacts
As much as I love my contacts and their answers I will pick the BA that is usually the funniest to me, that's generally the what I ask, humorous questions. Very often it is one of my contacts that gets BA though because that's why they are a contact, they're funny.

That is true for me. I usually give the best answer to contacts because they usually are the ones that give the funniest or the most helpful answer.
On rare occations when my "non contacts" give a better answer than my contacts, I also give the best answer to others.
I pick the answer I think is best, regardless of who answered the question.
i give best answer to whoever gave me the best answer, contact or not. IF there is a tie, i will give it to a contact.
