i think the easiest questions are the hardest the ones and easiest questions are superficial ofcourse... how are you? tells everything about a person but people hardly ever answer that honestly or the asker never cares much about the answer... how is life treating you is another one but theses big questions are never given answers they truely deserve... =)
I believe what is important varies for different people... ^_^
Superficial to some who wanted to know badly while to those that don't bother might think something else is more important to ask about...

yes, of course, but sometimes superficiality can save us from heartbreak.. or even physical harm... it's all a matter of instinct...
