Well you've opened a whole blinkin' can of worms here, haven't you? I expect everyone's going to be a bit biased...

I haven't been everywhere in England so I couldn't say, but the place that surprised me most with lovely countryside (as it's not really a countrysidey tourist destination) was Warwickshire - especially between Rugby and Coventry. I went there a few years ago for an event and it was lovely.

And Somerset of course, Somerset's great - Burrow Mump is where it's at. I am in no way biased ;-)

recently me and a friend went to Lake Windermere in Kendal...it was the most amazing scenic place i have ever seen in my entire life...it is just beautiful...i loved it there....i would recommend it to anyone who wants to visit the country side..it's awesome....

Lake District - If you walk around the hills around Lake Windermere its amazing there was one massive hill that nearly killed me it was that steep lol i had to take my inhaler or Yorkshire (Goathland is nice) its where Heartbeat is set in Aidensfield

devon.dartmoor.

Start with the Cornish cliffs, work your way up through Dartmoor and Somerset, take a quick peek at the Cheddar Gorge, drop in on Bristol to see the Avon Gorge and Brunel's Suspension Bridge, on your travels, cast an eye over the Mendips and the Cotswolds.
Spend a while around the Wrekin and the Severn Valley, then into Shropshire and onto the Derbyshire Dales - drive around the country lanes there, then a quick peek at the Yorkshire Moors, up to Cumbria and the Lakes.
You have just seen where some of England's most beautiful countryside is to be found.

I am a biased Yorkshire woman but the Yorkshire Moors, North York Moors (near Whitby) and Ilkley take some beating.

Either Kent or the Lake District,,,,

Warwickshire, you can't beat it
