What is one of the more SUBTLE SIGNS that someone is SUICIDAL?!

Question: A freshman at a local high school killed herself Saturday night. She was a member of the choir at school and involved in many activities. No one knew anything was wrong. I find this very disturbing and sad.

Giving away some of her most precious belonnings is a sign.

It may have been an accident..

I heard if they start giving their stuff away all of a sudden is one of the sings.

She could have been secrelty mental

She was really dumb.
Probably in 'love' with a boy,
or having problems at home.

But either way..
She had serious issues herself.
If bad things around her made her want to actually DIE.
Some kind of mental disease perhaps.

I don't know..
No one ill ever know.

But suicide is very dumb.

perhaps that she looks a little sickly. maybe spending more time to herself, more quiet, etc. avoids talking to people much, but when approached, she talks to em anyway just to put em off and have em think she's okay. maybe a little forgetful, because she has a whole lot of other **** on her mind. you know, stuff like that.

That there spending alot of time alone.
If they have drastically changed how they chat w/ ppl for ex. if they were a happy person. They would start talking about death & stuff like that.

Here are some signs you should watch for if your concernced about someone comitting suicide and remember this girl may have had problems at home with family or sexual issues.
Many private things go on with our boys and girls today that we do not notice.

Talking About Dying -- any mention of dying, disappearing, jumping, shooting oneself, or other types of self harm.
Recent Loss -- through death, divorce, separation, broken relationship, loss of job, money, status, self-confidence, self-esteem, loss of religious faith, loss of interest in friends, sex, hobbies, activities previously enjoyed

Change in Personality -- sad, withdrawn, irritable, anxious, tired, indecisive, apathetic

Change in Behavior -- can't concentrate on school, work, routine tasks

Change in Sleep Patterns -- insomnia, often with early waking or oversleeping, nightmares

Change in Eating Habits -- loss of appetite and weight, or overeating

Diminished Sexual Interest -- impotence, menstrual abnormalities (often missed periods)

Fear of losing control -- going crazy, harming self or others

Low self esteem -- feeling worthless, shame, overwhelming guilt, self-hatred, "everyone would be better off without me"

No hope for the future -- believing things will never get better; that nothing will ever change

Everybody is different so the signs will vary. However here are some common signs:

Also when somone is deep in depression they are so down they probably won't commit suicide, its when they seem to be 'getting' better is when you have to keep an eye on them. Hope this helps, i know its sad but sometimes there is nothing we can do, if someone is determined enough they will do it anyway

she could have been stressed out by all of her activities
