I did the opposite at the school. We all wrote a letter to our future selves in year 9. In year 10 I received a letter to myself which was pretty cool. Unfortunately it was a pretty crap letter but the whole exercise was awesome.
But if I could write a letter to my former self I wouldn't say much, I wouldn't want to mess around with who I am now. So you might think warning yourself not to play rugby in order to avoid a broken collar-bone is a good idea but then instead I could be driving and be in a car crash. No, I wouldn't warn me about anything, I would simply encourage myself.
That you will always make mistakes but the point is to learn from them and don't repeat them!Also don't focus on the negatives in life, whether the negative thing is a mistake you made or just negatives in your life~Being positive is what gets you through the hard times;)
