Take it immediately to customer service.
Probably tell customer service that I found money (not saying how much) and that if anyone comes saying they lost money to have them call me. I would not give it to anyone unless they knew the exact amount.

If I didn't hear an announcement that someone lost it, I would shop a little more.

I would take it to my local post office and have it exchanged into pounds, then go get my shopping.
