In the U.S the CDC tracks it from October through mid-May but it's usually run its course by the end of March...although in the elderly...they may be susceptible longer. You might want to check with the physician that monitors her health. If she's had the flu shot, she may be in the clear by now.
Yes, Cold and Flu season is over. Now its allergy season. Flu and cold season ended when spring started. Now, probably in May, allergy season starts.
