I think they learn with plenty of padding available. There's some guy downtown who rides one to work -- he actually wears a goofy looking hat and a bow tie. I really think he's a disgraced clown.

No. My husband and father-in-law are both able to ride unicycles. Basically you just practice, fall, keep practicing, keep falling and then eventually you get it. Or at least they did.
