And if I caught them stealing again, I'd break up with them,
confront them......
and say sorry......I don't really want to buy my own gift, thanks.
( and I'd question that, because if they really wanted to buy you a gift they would find a way to earn their own money to buy it.....)
Say, ooook, then why didnt you use your money? Maybe I needed that money to buy one for you.
