I add butter and half and half, lots of pepper, salt..... mush em all up smooth, then add cheese, sour cream and baco's and bake in the oven. Thanks for making me hungry this morning!

Yes I make really good mashed potatoes. I also put butter in mine.
My dad used to make really good mashed potato... but now he's got lazy and botches it up by adding too much milk. I think it's one of those male things, "if I do it wrong once, I won't be asked to do it again"...
I make red bliss garlic mashed. You use red bliss potatoes with the skins left on half of them, mash them with a potato ricer, add 2 tablespoons chopped garlic, real butter and heavy cream, and a tad bit of sea salt. Whip until smooth ( very high in calories but they taste heavenly)
My fian`ce makes good mashed potatoes. As a matter of fact, she makes everything good.
We made Satan's Potatoes just last night. (Because of the ingredients' 6-6-6)
2.5 - 3 pounds white potatoes, cut up and boiled until done
6 Tbsp. butter (or margarine)
6 Tbsp. sour cream
6 oz. milk
Salt and pepper to taste
