Why do people ask people to star their questions?!

Question: Beacause the more stars you have the better your rating is and the more intresting your question is. I never ask, if people want to give me stars fair enough, if not that's there choice not mine.

do they? where?

Desperation!

To recieve a star

Vanity dear heart.

to get a star.
heres one for you*stars*

....

because they have boring lives and getting a star seems really exciting

To make everybody in their contacts to know their question

~bye~

They obviously want stars.

stupid. why do people see this as a competition for like popularity or something? or is it just me?

so they can get into star heaven, didnt you know...?

Cause they get points if people give stars. Apparently you're not allowed to ask for stars.

So they can look at their star total and pretend they got them by asking brilliant questions.

Desperate they are. You get nothing for stars really so I don't see the point for them to beg for stars.. You don't get a "virtual prize" so

I have no idea - but I star if I think they're interesting.

it is up to everyone what they want to do but personally i prefer to let people give one at there own free will.

I fail to see the reasoning - stars here are as much good as the proverbial chocolate fireguard - absolutely pointless.

I imagine it's because it boosts their emotionally deficient egos.

I know it's a bit sad but then if stars mean so much to them what can you do .
