I am a single man never married. Not by choice it just has never happened. I believe in marriage and I believe everybody needs somebody to share things with. Do you have to share everything? That is an agreement that you and the other person must reach up-front. When your older and not married you are more independent and you can accept somebody else easier, I believe if you are honest with each other up-front. Does it have to be marriage? Not at first, and maybe not at all. You and htem must decide that through honesty.

its unnecessary...60% of them end up in divorce and common-law relationships are looked upon the same as marriages...so just be together..unless you are religious. It makes me laugh that most people that arent Christian get married in a church...how hypocritical!

It sucks.

I would do it again, but not at this point in my life.

it's a trap

I love being married. I don't like being alone. It's hard work but what isn't if it's worth having? If you find the right person, it's fantastic!!!!

i freaks me out my boyfriend keeps asking and i just keep says no

It's the center of my world, I love my husband dearly!

i think marriage is for ppl who have soiled there oats, and are ready to commit

it means "thier goes half your stuff"

i think its great. ive been married 27 years, so far

ofcourse max people does not hink about it. but at later stage of life u feel that u have wested precious time of your life. so go for it with good guy

I love it.

It's treated me good so far!

I think people jump into marriage way too early. I believe that people don't experience life, get married, and then regret it because they feel they missed out on so much. They start to blame their significant other for not being able to enjoy the things they would if they weren't married. I didn't get married until I was 29. I did everythign I wanted to had my bar hopping days had my promisquous times, and finally I was ready to settle down. I couldn't be happier now.

I think if to the persons, it's important, then go for it. But I don't see it as a thing we NEED to do.

I think marriage is important, it shows that the person that you love has made a deep meaningful commitment to you (now whether they keep it, thats the kicker)
It also helps protect the loved ones financially in cases where the husband/wife dies, you have to be married in order to get benefits from social security and such.
I think that people now days need to be more committed to the bonds of marriage, and that if they cannot keep their promises to their partners, they should not be getting married in the first place.
I also feel that people living alternative lifestyles should be allowed to get married. (if they let straight people get married and the straight people run around have affairs, then how about letting some other people get a chance to show everyone what a real commitment is. I doubt that people of alternative lifestyles go around and cheat left and right.)

Marriage is a good idea, but true marriage can't be licensed and made impactful by a ceremony.

Yeah why not, not that it can't be undo.

A sweet contract, which you can not live quickly.

It is the bedrock of society.

i love being married! my hubby's my best friend!!
