Hi Mr.
Mr.

Mr _____,
I was wondering if you would mind being a referance for me. I am trying to get a job at _______. They may or may not contact you, but either way I would really appreciate it. Just write a small note or so about your views on me as a student, my absentee record and tardies.

I greatly appreciate this! Thank you so much!

Your Name Here :)

Hi,
I was wondering if you would write ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ for me...

just be like hey, mr (whatever)
this is what i want you to say in my reference letter.
and just tell him what you want him to say..

always start with dear

Depends on what type of relationship (and I don't mean THAT) you have with him.
It it's a STRICT relationship... and you know he's like an I-mean-bizznizz-and-I-mean-now kind of guy, then start with 'Mr.'
If you know he's easygoing then just start with 'Dear Mr.'...
And if you really aren't sure, just start with a casual 'Hiya... or Hey Mr.'...

[Notice that opinions will vary. You have to choose this for yourself]

Also, good luck with your job.

I think Mr. is just fine.

You should Start it out by putting Dear Mr.

Just Mr. (whatever his name is) and then say what it is you want to but, close with: Sincirely, or Thank You, (then your name)

dear. mr (water)

i am considering you to be one of my references to my job ___ blah blah blah

now rate this high http://youtube.com/watch?v=LiuWkFLQ3to

well references don't usually need to write anything
they are just supposed to ok you using them as a reference
and I am guessing a manager at your job will call your teacher to ask about your general character

so ask the teacher to comment on any positive sides of your character and explain it is for a job so he'll get an idea of what is appropriate to say

you should not really tell him what to say, but hopefully he'll say that he's known you for a while and you a bright, dilligent student who will go far in life

good luck and don't worry too much about it, i don't think any of my part time managers ever checked any of my references anyway

I would write Dear Mr.....
