Tired? I forget what that feels like. I have been catatonic for the last 14 days. I work a two week on two week off rotation in a mining camp. 12 hour days for a total of 168 hours a month. Not including today's shift I have put in 75 hours of overtime. Add to it today's which started at 0530 April 1st ( it is currently 0315 April 2nd) and I'm pushing 85 hours of O.T. in two short weeks. Coffee works to a point, after that Vik's advice is bang on. DONT SIT STILL!!!

Oh my...that CAN'T be good. Are you able to listen to music? Crank it up? That would be one suggestion, but, if you aren't...I don't know...move around a lot, I guess...but yeah...hit the coffee BIG TIME.

Tomorrow morning take Melatonin to get you to sleep...do that every day in shift changes (or if you decide to go rotating shifts).

have a nap and think about it afterwards...

why be unnatural

you are feeling sleepy.....sllleeeppppyyy...

:P

Stay busy. If you sit down, you will sleep.
The melatonin advice is also spot on. You need to do it when changing shifts.
I would avoid excessive coffee. The crash will kill you.
Also, if at all possible, a quick catnap, or power-nap may be in order to return to the land of the living.

I work the night shift. I drink a cup of coffee before I go in..and one soda during my shift. I am able to stay up with no problem. The body (and mind) eventually adjusts.
