A recession is two conseutive quarters of negartive economic growth.....We have not even had one month of negative economic economic growth. The Television news and print media are mis- reporting. If it bleeds, it is leads.

If you don't know that we are in recession, it's time for you to stop living on a shack up in the mountains with no form of communication.
Depends on what state you are in. Michigan, Florida, California, Arizona and Nevadas real estate market would definate suggest a recession. Here in Utah however, the economy is awesome! We just came to the end of our RE market upswing and things are leveling out like they always do. Prices are still up and not going down. People are starting to buy again, after the snow left us. New business is coming into Utah and the unemployment rate is low. I love it here. I'm an Escrow Officer and I've spoken with many long time realtors and lenders and they all say things are on the move for the better once again. I love it here.
