Would you buy a $100 raffle ticket for a house?!

Question: I was hearing a story of a lady raffleing off her house for a $100 a ticket and was thinking of doing the same thing. But would people really buy them?

I mean the house would go as is and the money earned from the tickets would go to pay off the mortgage and then the deed would just be changed over to the "winners" name.
And there would be a minimum that has to be met.

i was reading this at first and thought that it was a crazy idea for you to be considering doing this. Then I read that there would be a minimum number of raffle tickets that had to be sold and reconsidered. This sounds like it could work because people like to test their luck and many might even submit multiple raffle tickets. It all depends on how badly you want to sell your house; since you're not setting a price on the house, you're essentially auctioning it off. Given the housing market these days, you might want to give extra consideration to the value of your house, location, etc. Also, you would most likely make some headlines if you decided to do this.

i would buy the ticket but i wouldnt want to raffle my own house

Depends on the house........
