That's a lie. I've wanted a big screen TV & High defintion, and I got it at income tax time. If you want something bad enough, you'll get it.

In the West - atleast we are ungrateful for what we have and the glass is always half empty. some part of it is jealousy. but not everybody wants "always" what you can't have. if you always want what you can't have, perhaps, there is a self esteem or confidence issue. Some want the basics (materialistically or emotionally or spiritually) but can't have it. depends what it is that you can't have? is it a ferrari or is it the ability to walk? is it a model partner, with lots of money and high intelligence or is it to be loved by someone or something or anything.
There is not something I want to do there is something I am GOING to do!

Indeed, also I find that the grass always looks greener on the other side until you get there and you find its on an ancient indian burial ground or sth... people should just be grateful for all the good things they have in their life instead of focusing on what's lacking
it's an intrinsic human trait,to want what you cant have a generic fault within all of us,it raise's it's ugly little head at the weirdest of time's(your friend's wedding,bestmate's girl/boyfriend,that new car that you can't afford,etc)it's an inexplicable thing as to why,we want the thing's we can't really have........... btw miss smith love your avatar!!!.

I used to be like that, but not any more, I cherish what I have got, and if something extra special comes along and it has my name on then, I would be really happy with that.
