If we know so little of others no matter how much time we spend with them...?!

Question: is it true then that speaking on anyone else's behalf makes us all impostors?

I think that if we are truly devoted to learning about those in our lives, we will learn what we need to know about them. I think...to be able to speak on someone's behalf, we would have had to know them very intimately. I don't mean that romantically or sexual, just...well I think you know :) None of us can know exactly what another is thinking but we use our best judgment...and it's respectful to have another's permission to speak on their behalf...

Hehe, thanks again :) Report It

  • yes.

are you my sister elsa becasue i have a sister named elsa and if u are elsa (elsapato) go get me a startbucks!

Not if you were asked by the person you are speaking for, to do so.

I don't know if that makes us impostors, but I sure agree with the fact that we know very little of others... we don't know too much about ourselves a lot of the time.

yes and at this point in life I always stress that I am not speaking for another person,

    ye i guess t does :D

yes because you dont really know enough about them in order to speak on their behalf and be accurate in your statement

personally i think people who don't like someone speaking for them should ask the person not to do it

I find it hard enough to speak on my own behalf , let alone anyone elses.I would be very careful who I let speak on my behalf.

    Basically yes.
But sometimes you may know enough of someone in certain matter, that you can speak on his behalf in that matter.
Also when you're asked to, not to say paid for speaking for others. :)

    Hi Elsa,
Yes, no one knows anyone really...our journeys are unique to all of us.
I have friends of 40 years and more that are close...however, our journeys from time to time baffle us.
Tell Luna to go get her own starbucks...she seems a bit controlling and over bearing. People like that have low self esteem issues if they have to control the lives of others. A well rounded, high intelligent person will find the good in everyone...and will treat them with respect.
Even our family members whom have our blood in their veins can be ignorant and obnoxious in behavior...and uncaring for our feelings. If they knew us...they'd be nicer.
So Luna, get your own starbucks and go take some self development courses. Treat others with respect. Show some intelligence and raise your self esteem to a level that will prove you have some.
