Do you have a carbon monoxide detector in your home?!

Question: ours was flashing and making a really loud beeping sound this afternoon. I told my family to get out of the house...turned out the detector only needed batteries.

You were still wise to get out of the house...it could have been the real deal. At least you were safe.

Yes...I have one in my house.

Nope.

Yes we do.

no I do not.

no

yes, i happy to hear that your batteries needed changing and none of your family members got harmed

yes

yes

yeah... its part of the smoke detector.

Nope nope ,
but I will soon , because this can
be very dangerous if something happened.

yep, and not just because it is the law in these parts...

yep, and mine does the same thing. I flip a sh*t every time, and It does it about 4 times a day, and I can't tell you the amount of times I've evacuated my house, for no reason. hah. I need to get it fixed, once I broke down crying because I was so scared. The thought of dying by Carbon Minoxide scares me half to death.

yea theres like two in my house, 1 at my parents room, the other one downstairs

I don't think so?

--Kayla ?

Yes, I do, but I never took it out of the package. It's against the city code not to have one so I bought it. My house is old, so it's really drafty. I doubt a Carbon Monoxide leak would do much harm.

yep!

yes. and that does happen with the batteries.. however it's really safe to have it in the house..

Yes I do

yes same thing happened to me about two weeks ago

Heck yeah! I have TWO. One in the basement and one in the upstairs hall...right next to my smoke detector.

no, i don't have one. I have a fire alarm... that doesn't work.

i have had one for years. you are supost to replace it every 5 years. if the batt was low it should just have cherpet not gone off. or do you have one that plugs into the wall?

Yes.

yes i do. i change battries every month so it always works

lol, we probably should but we dont, or im not aware of it.

yes, here in this state you have to have one.
you did the right thing.

we have 2...one with batteries and the other is hooked into the house.

bought one from tesco the other day, turns out it didn't work n its too cheap to bring back for a refund

No No No I do not

I carry my home everywhere I go. I do have a detector attached to the roof of my home~~

Better safe than sorry. Mine plug into the wall, so I dont have to worry. Have a good day.
