I'm a funeral director so I've been to thousands of funerals!..........less than 12 weddings.
I've been to more weddings but my last funeral was only in February

I never had expirience a family member die and I had attend to many weddings. So more on weddings...

Funerals: One, as far as I can remember, it was my greatgranduncle, I never got to meet him but he was said to be a very nice and intelligent person. I was five at the time of the funeral and I remember I thought it was weird that they threw a container (containing his ashes, as I didn't know at the time) into the water. Into the Baltic Sea to be exact. It was his wish cos he lived in Lübeck his last years. I remember my grandpa used to visit him per car every month.
