I guess it depends on how you define "contemplates". If it means that they just think about it in passing, then yes I would say that that's true.
If it means that they seriously considered it, then I don't think everyone does.
Unfortunately, i am in the second group.
unfortunatley I have, I was young and naive and I'm not exactly wise or anything now. I contemplated it when I was in year 8 when I had a particularly hard time at school and family. Erytime I thought about it, I'd just think what I could do in the future, how it would affect my family and friends, I thought how I'd never have my first kiss, never get married, have kids and I knew that no matter how tough things would get, I want to get married. I want to have kids - and though I'm years ahead of myself..I know what I want.
I'm glad too I made the rigt decision too - lifes not perfect..but the things i've achieved so far are hard to replace.
