Do you think its funny how all the hardcore jocks still keep working out after h!

Question: Instead of devoting their time to acquiring a skill or do something productive, some still spend 1-2 hours a day in the gym like their physique is going to carry them to success in real world.

well all the jocks i went to school with ,are all fat and lazy now, ok well maybe not all but 1/2.

the jocks have to keep their, masculine body... pant pant,, so don't knock em, some of us apprecite all the work they put in to looking good....

That is funny...most people from my highschool are still living like high schoolers....sad

not really they just want to stay in shape!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know what you mean. The jocks I went to school with did the same thing and many of them are whining about their dead end jobs and being sore all the time. These same low forehead morons made it clear to me that I would amount to nothing since I didn't play sports.
I'm 39 and retired from the army. I never have to work again. My income is greater at doing nothing than their 4 years of tech school or community college did for them. They'll be working into their 60's before they can retire.

no, i dont think its funny at all.

if they don't lift weights and practice their drills in the off season.......how will they perform once September rolls around?

a good number of these guys are trying to get into a good college football program.

even the ones in community college.........if they perform real well they have a chance of getting recruited by a good 4 year football program. they call it "Jocos" or Jr. College recruits.

plus lifting weights is a really good thing to do. you don't have to lift weights to be sucessful in life......but why knock someone for wanting to have a strong body?

Priorities, priorities. A friend of mine who is somewhat younger was in the graduating class between my two sons. He was on the HS football squad and after High School, went to school for diesel mechanics. Up to here, your model fits, right?
After that, he joined the Army. He completed his enlistment and then got a job at the company where I was working.
He worked his way up to management and since the company didn't pay that well, he got back into the Army reserves.
Anyway, he quit and went to a different company. While he was there, he joined the local semi-pro football team and since he was in pretty good shape, he played defense. After some differences of opinion, and being fed up with the business we were in, went back into the Army full time.
He was sent to Iraq and during the time he was there, suffered and injury to his back. He came back and had surgery and was assigned permanent status here.
Lo and behold, the unit he was assigned to was called up again. He is now back in Iraq and will be there for another 11 months.
Why am I telling you this? If it had not been for his conditioning and continual training, the injuries could have been far worse and he could be semi paralyzed now.
My point is that some people like to keep in shape. There's nothing wrong with that and they may outlive us.
