A hug is like something your mother gives you.
A hold is a long lasting embrace that will keep a lady's spirits high off the ground as he refuses to let her go.
Hugs seem so temporary.
Personally, I think a "real man" would post spank if only yahoo would make that an option. It is better to be cheeky than cheesy. And to me, I think if *hugs* is the best you can come up with to let your lady know that you want to feel her close to you then you ought to hang up you man card and take a poetry class or two.
