It's 2008: Where are the domed cities, androids, jet packs and phasers?!

Question: Come on, 60s kids...didn't we expect more?

Answers: Come on, 60s kids...didn't we expect more?

A cursory review of my previous research performed on Futuroism (the study of the future and how it relates to our present day) indicates that these things have, in fact, been introduced to our society (or are certainly scheduled to be...in a city near you). Allow me to submit the following:

Domed Cities: These were successfully implemented as seen in Buck Rogers and the 25th Century around a place called New Chicago.

Androids: Honda made an android called ASIMO; however, androids have not successfully been introduced as mainstream. Then again, there is substantial evidence to suggest that Hillary Clinton is an android (or more accurately, a "Gynoid"). Still, I usually just call her "fem-bot." Okay, I'm getting sidetracked. Moving on...

Jet Packs: Similar to the android, jet packs have been created and are in use in some circles. A MMU (or manned maneuvering unit) was created by NASA. If you have some pocket change, you can buy one yourself for only $125,000 from Tecnologia Aeroespacial Mexicana. My notes also indicate that in some families, there are uncles who overindulge in bean dip and beer to the point of propulsion from the couch (this hasn't been fully corroborated with present scientific admissions).

Phasers: Anyone who has owned a Sega Master System knows that Phasers are readily available and a MUST for playing Safari Hunt, Laser Ghost, and Operation Wolf.

Hey man, you asked.

LOL....damn straight.....at least a hovercraft of some kind!!

they're getting there...

The same place they've been for the past 40 years...
