Marvin Gaye

Marvin Gaye

Luther Vandross!

Luther

Out of this list you gave, I go with Marvin Gaye....WHAT a Voice! But I loved Al Green too !

Al Green, "baby let's stay together!"

Sam Cooke because he didn't just sing. He made a statement when civil rights were not in the fore front. He refused to play for segregated audiences, the promoters either had to allow everyone in, or he walked away. He didn't care that he was also walking away from money. He BELIEVED in something so much bigger. You have to respect a man like that.

Luther Vandross

Marvin Gaye...I met him in 1973 during a summer internship...what a kind, gentle and troubled soul. His voice was like velvet.

al green (before he got religious)

Luther Vandross..hands down!!!

? Stevie Wonder ?

Stevie Wonder, is a living legend and one of the best song writers ever

How can you take the best R&B singers out there and think that I'm going to be able to say that one is the best? They are ALL some of the most incredible singers on the planet. They just don't make artist like this anymore.

Stevie Wonder, he lifts my depression.
