I feel the exact same way,
they don't realize it's ruining them, their heads are filled with mtv, and other influences It's lame.
the whole point of tv IS advertisment and also making teenagers grow up in a world of stereotypes and labels.
I'd muchh rather read a book, and a very good, deep book, like "the little prince" by Antoine de Saint Exupéry,

I guess the same could be said for sitting in front of the computer all day like you don't have a real life. I personally prefer reading and going out more than tv and internet. I'm just on here now to pass time until my next enrollment appointment.
Give me the option between a good book and the movie and I'll always pick the book because the book doesn't cut important information out just to spare a few seconds.
Here in the UK we have TV channels that don't show adverts. Are they allowed in your world?
I love reading books, but sometimes, after a hard day at work, all I want to do is veg in front of the TV and unwind.
i think that's just a matter of opinion, but i do like books more than tv, because u learn new things, and if ur bored time passes by quickly
I don't know why. Personally i'm a huge reader and would much rather curl up in the corner of my sofa and read a good book any day!!! and i do!
