Answers: and those moving walk ways in airports. those are the worse.

and elevators :)

have you seen that picture where there are escalators leading up to a 24 hour fitness!!

yeah... i am a victim

um no. I live on the seventh floor of my dorm. Hell no am I walking 7 flights.

Yup

The escalator use to scare me cause I didn't know when to get off, my shoe laces allways gets caught

Haha... I always walk up escalators and get pissed at the people who just stand there and wait till they're at the top. Then THEY get mad at me for passing them.

Agreed that's why I take stairs!~~

talking about them...elevators is what for then?

Thanks, I'm still stealing your cable, just so you know.

i always take the stairs if they'e there! escalators contribute to this society's inability to be active, i agree with you.

Yup!!

And drunks everywhere!

Good luck!!

tribute to americans

yyyyyyeah! best invention after the elevator :)

Not necessarily lazy. I've been in stores where the ONLY option to getting to the second floor is the escalator.

indeed.... the handicapped can't get up stairs, so they couldn't get up escalators either! sooo... escalators ARE a tribute to lazy people!!!!!!!!!

I wouldn't say that they're a tribute to lazy people. They're just there for convenience. Lets face if you could take an escalator or take the stairs which would you rather take.

Sure!!!

Gotta love lazy people =D

I walk up, or down escalators.

I prefer to walk.

It makes it easier for the disabled. : )

unless you step up the "down" escalator...then it's a cheap way to exercise without joining a gym ;-P

escalators are more for the lazy than elevators. people on wheelchairs and strollers can use the elevator cause it's helpful, but escalators? tsk, tsk :P

hey sometimes when you are at a mall shopping and
looking for one thing you do a lot of walking and sometimes
we do not wear walking shoes for this so yes then
those escalators make shopping easier.
Handicap people need those elevators
and sometimes people like my thin skinny sis
who has RA needs those escalators so please
do not be so quick to judge.

The person who invented the escalator has secured a place in heaven just as the person who invented the "dail 1 for customer service" has secured their place in hell.

I admit I'm lazy and will take the elevator or escalator to bypass the stairs, but I also have RA in my feet and that can handicap me to the point where I have to take other means than the stairs.

I love escalators. I wish they would replace all stairs. In fact, all the walkways should be moving, too. I'm thinking about getting one of those Scooter so I don't have to walk anywhere. In fact, I want one designed to have the seat double as a toilet, so I don't even have to get off my rear end for that, either.

No. I have had to travel between my home and my parents while my dad was terminally ill, travelling long distance with luggage is hard, made easier with escalators and lifts.
Also when shopping, I have a large family and do a lot of shopping so my bags are heavy.
If I have nothing to carry I take the stairs.
