That all depends on that persons integrity and idea of self honor. there are still cultures that these attributes are still valued, but you will rarely find it in this society.

You cant go through life without trusting others.
1. Trust those around you, in a circle.
2. Allow them to betray the trust to a point.
3. When betrayal is overwhelming, dismiss them.
4. after a while that circle will become smaller, till you allow more in or you cherrish those within it.
