What is one of the most ridiculous rules your school has ever imposed?!

Question: It can be serious or something you just don't agree with. I disliked that my elementary school, when I was there, did not allow people to wear hats. I didn't wear any then, but it was kinda stupid since hats aren't a distraction in any way and they thought it was.

my old school we couldnt wear ankle socks

in primary school they made up a rule that we werent allowed to RUN ... grrr we were all so mad

way to make kids fatter

Fighting = in school suspension (ISS) or worse.

When a guy with a foot of height and 30 lbs on me attacked me, my pitiful defense was deemed fighting (yay me) and I received ISS.

Under their logic, a rape victim is participating in the rape and should be expelled.

When I was in high school (i'm 20 now) we needed a pass to go to the bathroom lol b/c people were setting fires in my school

My school passed a rule that banned hats too, but what annoys me is that we had to wear an orange vest just to go somewhere while class is in session.....

OMG!! i go to a christian school and recently girls were getting dress codes for having too big earrings.... they say that they are "immodest".... what the heck?! how are earrings immodest (are they showing too much ear)??? its ridiculous... not to mention that there is nothing in the rule book about "too big" earrings.... ugg... soooo stupid.....

I agree on the hat rule. We had a student who was going through chemo. They tried to make a big deal out of him wearing a hat. The doctor had to write a prescription for the hat. Totally retarded.

At my sch, there is a rule bannin colourful socks. they must either be white, blue, black or brown. How stupid is that?

I got in trouble for using the bathroom twice in one day. Apparently we dont have a right to release a necessary bodily function that if not released could cause serious damage to your body. Then again that principle was an ***.

In middle school you weren't allowed to chew gum. That pissed me off.

I know of a Christian university, i wont state the country but believe me i am not making this up, where boys and girls, or should i say men and women, are not allowed to interact. this includes holding hands in public. You have to apply for permission to have a girlfriend/boyfriend, to leave the school campus. No phones, jeans or certain clothing items are allowed and attendance in the school chapel is compulsory. Even though i am a christian, i find this pretty excessive and rather stupid. ( kinda hard to top)
oh, did i aslo mention that before you can graduate, u must have a HIV/AIDS test and a pregnancy test if u are female.. (talk about human rights violation)
