I would go to court with her and INSIST on punishment and fines that she herself had to work off...I would want her to have an embarrassing punishment at that

idk, that's tough. i would like to think that my daughter would not be one to do that. but i would want to protect her too. but, i also would want her to know that she has to be responsible for her actions. very tough call. but i think i would let the system do what is called for b/c i would not want it to happen again.
If is a big word. It's hard to say what someone would do until you're in a situation. If my daughter did something like that. . . I would tell authorities I don't want her in my home until she goes through counseling and everything else she had to do. As a mom, I would be there for her but she would have to suffer the consequences. She would also have to apologize to the girl she helped beat.
