When I was younger I would get in trouble if my mom called my name and I didn't say yes mam back to her!. Same goes with my dad and sir- and it definitely is a strong southern thing!. It's almost expected as a sign of respect!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
I like to say sir because it makes me feel well mannered or something like that!. I also say sir to show respect!. Mam not as much, but I guess I do use it!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
