Both have their ups and downs!. A laptop is portable and easy to take places!. Laptops, like desktops, have full Internet capability!. The only bad thing about laptops is that they don't offer as much storage space as desktops do!. also it is a pain to keep laptops charged all the time!. Desktops are usually perfect for doing school assignments on and homework!. I would say that if a school recommended laptops for their students or the teen was in college then i would go with a laptop!. Otherwise i would stick with a desktop!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
I think a desktop is more appropriate for a teen!. Because A laptop can be broken more easily than a desktop!. if the laptop falls on the floor or get seriously damaged you'll be paying twice as much to fix it than a desktop!. Plus desktops are cheaper than a laptop!.
i repair desktops and laptop computers for 15 years!. And most parents asked me this question allot!. I just say desktop when there young teens!. and when the teens are older and mature than get them a laptop for collage or university!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I had both, I went through a desktop (compaq!.!.!. goes slow), than a laptop (toshiba!.!.!.broke) and now I am on my third computer and new desktop (HP!.!.!.great)!.!.oh yeah I am a teen, and before I go to college I want a Mac laptop (Greater)!.
But for a teen, just for like school and internet, laptop!. Because you can take it to school and get more work done!. Or you can get out the house and get things done!.
But if you plan to be stable and like stable enviroments, I would say desktop, and desktops are cheaper!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Laptop for sure!!!
You can bring it anywhere!. Especially with wireless networks going up all over the place!. Get a laptop, get an external hard drive if you want a place to store music/movies and what have you!. You'll be much happier!.!.!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

If you need to be mobile with your computer, then a laptop, otherwise a desktop!.
