2!. Stash the cash in a super-safe place !.!.!. theft-proof, fire-proof, flood-proof, etc!.
3!. Languish along in my crappy marriage until it FINALLY dissolves into divorce !.!.!. then get divorced!

Assuming we're talking lump-sum, small unmarked bills, no surveillance and no setups!.!.!.!.no strings attached!.
Well, the *bag* would be HUGE, but!.!.!.!. ^_^ After I waited some 2-3 months to make sure I wouldn't get caught!.!.!.!.
--Pay my debts!. ALL of them, credit cards *AND* student loans!. Basically I'd just start a *very* simple, low-key savings account, put a little money in it at a time and just use it as an excuse to write *certified checks* so that everything clears and works!. ^_^ That would take no more than the first $50K though!.
--Once my debts were paid, and the attention was off of my immediate finances!.!.!.!.I'd open up something *more* than a simple savings account with its limited withdrawals a month!.!.!.!.just so I could have someplace to deposit the money on a regular basis, slowly over time as if I were working!.
--Once I had the first $60K socked away like this, I'd *buy* six Five-Year Treasury Notes, with the intent of using the interest to generate *income!.
I'd repeat this step ten times per note, such that I had $100K socked away in six clusters of notes generating interest-based income for me twice a year apiece!.!.!.!.the six notes would guarantee I get paid at least each month, if not 2-3 times a month, depending on how I split things!.
And honestly!.!.!.!.that would be *it*!.
This would take *time* to set up, so at least $100K of that money would have to be spent on 4-5 years worth of living expenses so that I could *get by* while being discreet!.
Ok!.!.!.!.so that only eats into the first $750K!.!.!.of the remainder:
--$150K would go into a "sudden taxation" account, just in case the IRS got a clue that I was *wealthy* all of a sudden!. I figure this is the *least* I can pay for a Get Out Of Jail Free card these days!.!.!.!.
--The last $100K would likely go into something simple!.!.!.like either buying a house or at least buying a *good* double-wide trailer and paying lot rent for the next *decade* in advance!. The idea being, I'd have a simple, humble home to go to, where I wouldn't have to pay *rent to* a public housing unit each month!. >_<
I know, there are flaws on this!.!.!.!.with this *kind* of money, I'd need a lawyer on retainer, but still!.!.!.!.them's the basics!.
