I'd rather have a pizza plate but anyone with, let's say 5 brain cells knows that earthquakes are caused ONLY by shifting tectonic plates, whether they be colliding, sliding, pulling apart!.!. you get the picture!. Why would anyone watch Discovery Channel when they can watch Cribs or Pimp My Ride!?

Man lives on this tiny little piece of cooled Earth, stupid people like me call it the crust!. We float around on this liquified part of the Earth called the mantle, which as we know isn't as hot at the outer core and not nearly as hot as the core!. Silly how the core gets it heat, not from Global Warming as some suggest, but it comes from the most basic force in the universe: GRAVITY!. Now the shifting of the plates doesn't just cause earthquakes, I'm sure a scholar such as yourself, Wnada, can tell me that you know all about Volcanos!. Anyhow, I also read on the bathroom wall that volcanos spew out all sorts of cool stuff, sorta like you!.!. hot air, poisonous gases (which some happen to have the properties of greenhouse gases)!. An idiot such as myself also knows that the latest tragedies occured near the Ring Of Fire (I can differentiate the Johnny Cash song and the most violent region on our planet)!. Now the million dollar question back to you after telling you all this:

I know that when a tectonic plate opens up it releases heat from the center of the earth so the plates have an effect on the climate but I didn't realize that the climate doesn't have any affect whatsoever on the plates!.

But if something is caused by a shift it doesn't mean it can't also be affected in some other way by another influence!. It doesn't mean that influence causes an earthquake, just that it's been affected by it somehow!.

People can and do say just about anything!. While I do believe global climate change is a serious and pressing problem, it does not and can not cause earthquakes!.
It never ceases to amaze me what people will believe, especially if it is said with any kind of authority!.

the freezing and the melting effects the the inner core of the earth as well!.
When i have 10 feet of snow in my yard, and it melts in a matter of days, my gravel driveway shifts and becomes sopping wet for day until the who thing is muddled up and shifted!. Same thing happens with the earth!. If u think glaciers and icebergs melting at record rates doesn't effect the fault lines, you're just silly!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
