"The Prodigal Son" has a point!. Another name for "ambition" could be called "passion"!. Or a "calling"!. Something that *moves you*, that gets you up out of bed and *doing* at 5 a!.m!. when you have the flu and would rather be in a coma!.!.!.
It's the drive to *live* versus merely existing!. It's what happens when you go out *looking for good* versus *avoiding the bad*!. It's proactive not reactive!.
But!.!.!.!.having said that!. To answer your Question!.!.!.!.I think it's a bit curved!.
In the beginning, you really *do* need half a brain to form the idea behind what drives you!. You need to have *something* going on upstairs--the perception, memory, intuition, knowledge, logic, *something*--for the idea behind your desire and motivation to take root and take form above and beyond a fleeting daydream!.
But as you progress and it becomes more about what you *do* versus what you've *planned*!.!.!.!.it becomes a heart thing, definitely!. It becomes about, "How much are you willing to *take* to actually get there!? How much will you endure!?"
An idea without thought is a fleeting daydream, ok!?
An idea with thought, with a plan, that doesn't have the *perseverance* behind it to carry it out, that's something worse!. That's a broken promise!. That's a failure to DO what you planned!.
So "Ambition" as such is the union of a) a good idea, well-planned and well-conceived, and *also* b) the drive, endurance, and perseverance to carry it out and *insist* it happen *by your design*, because you say so damn it!.
Early on it's a mind thing, but it quickly becomes *all* about heart, if that makes sense!. ^_^

ambition is primarily a mind thing, it is where you set you eyes on, it is what you work for!. while dreams are kinda superficial in some sense but it is where every heart is motivated for!. there a very thin line between the two, the only thing that separated them is the tangibility of things!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
Ambition is definitely a mind thing!. I'm not very ambitious myself, even though I work hard and compete fiercely (putting my heart & soul into what I do)!. Ambition is a sign that one is "driven" & wants more -I'm more from the heart & usually treasure what I have rather than striving for more!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
