I know it's affection, my late girl licked my all the time, her litter mate never licked!. There was no salt there she just showed her love by licking and licking the same spot!. She gave me doggy kisses til it drove me up the wall, but I never stopped her cause I knew one day she would not be with me to lick me crazy!. Miss her terrible!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
I love my dogs dearly, but I don't allow them to lick me!. When I walk them every morning at 4:35am, I see what comes out of them!. When they come in and clean themselves afterwards, I see that too!. No, absolutely no dog "kisses"

I would have to agree, my doggie licks me every night, pretty much my entire leg (both of them), then whatever body parts aren't clothed!. It's like she is obsessed with the salty goodness of my body!.!.!. Very odd, but I've gotten used to it, and now I can't sleep without her doing it! I guess that makes us both weird lol

Neither of my dogs are big lickers!. At times yes I know they lick because of food residue on my hands, but that isn't often!.
When they do lick, it is purely a sign of affection!. If it was the taste they were after, they would lick longer, not just the few little 'kisses' they give!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I've never heard that before!. I don't believe it!. My dog licks because he is being affectionate, not because he thinks I taste good! He also leans his head on you right after he licks you!. So cute!.!.!.!. Awww, I want to go home and hug him right now!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
