Question: Can anyone help me out please: Why is it that when you ask a question, some users assume the question !.!.!. !?
Is about what you believe, rather than an attempt to find out what they believe!?

I think YOU are probably quite broad-minded and open to hearing the views from a wide range of different perspectives!.
BUT !.!.!. not many questioners are like that AT ALL!!
In fact, on the contrary, many people ask a question with the sole intent of being affirmed in the view they're expressing, and have a very low tolerance (and sometimes no tolerance) for anyone expressing any kind of alternative views!. Most regular answerers (certainly on this site!) are accustomed to this!. So, when you ask a question, unfortunately many people personalise it and make presumptions about the personal perspective of you, the questioner!.
I think it's a shame that people cannot appreciate the value of a little objectivity and a healthy exchange of views conducted in a tolerant and open-minded forum!.
