Answers:
well, on the motherboard, Hard disk access is controlled by the I/O controller

Data transfer to hard disk is called an I/O transfer

I guess yeah, hard disk is an I/O device

It is!. in the general computer architecture, the 4 components are CPU, Memory, System Bus, and I/O Device

hard disk falls into the I/O device catagory

Furthermore, Hard disk do not use system addressing!. memory and graphic card memory, as well as ports are all using system addressing!.

Hard disk has their own addressing, and the job of accessing data is controlled by the hard disk itself!. So, hard disk is an independent entityWww@Enter-QA@Com

I would say no, it's not!. Input-output devices are supposed to be ways in which devices like computers can either receive or send out information from a different format or 'thing', like turning the press of a key or the click of a mouse into a thing on the computer, or turning information in the computer into a printed arrangement of ink on paper or lights on a screen!. A hard disk doesn't really do this!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
