Question: Do you think it's really lame when askers don't choose the best answer for their question!?
Because I do!. It's lazy, and kind of rude!. They're like "Oh please help me, blah, blah, blah"!. Then you try to, and they just totally neglect their end of the deal!. It's a pet peeve of mine I guess!. No biggie, but still!.

Many of us ask questions because we seek knowledge!. As an expression of gratitude it is my opinion that the asker should select a best answer!. Once in a while an asker may loose their train of thought and forget to follow up!. It happens sometimes!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
It's not a huge deal!. If they give me a best answer, then thats great, but I just like giving people advise!. They probably forget, because all they want is a answer to their question!. Plus, you may not have reseaved the best answer!. It may have gone to someone else!.

Yeah, it feels alot more satisfying when the right person gives you your ten points!. But if a bunch of people vote for your answer, I guess that should make you feel better!.!.!.too bad it doesn't!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

it's not necessarily lazy!.!. sometimes ppl post a question then they have to get offline cuz they gotta go to work or run errands or something!.!. and they don't have time to come back to Y!A by the time they have to choose a best answer!. I've noticed particularly in the few questions I've asked!.!. that after being out for the whole day and not being online!.!. by the time I do get back online I don't have the option of choosing a best answer!.
Have you ever considered that perhaps the asker doesn't WANT to choose a best answer because they don't think any of the answers were really that helpful!?
It sounds to me like you're more pissed that you don't get chosen cuz you want the points!. Not everyone here is all about the points!. Some ppl are genuinely looking to give and get helpful advice and could care less about the points system!.
Sure it's nice to be chosen as best answer!.!. but if I don't get chosen, or I see that the asker has not chosen a best answer and the question has gone to voting!.!. it's no big deal to me!.
