Well now thats a great idea, they should think of the singles as samples so if we like we can buy the album, i mean, its that song on the single that will sell the album! Great question!

Not really!. There are millions of struggling musos out there!. Perhaps the big names could afford it, but the average Joe Muso needs every cent!. They make their tunes available at a reduced cost to radio stations in order for them to get promoted!. And then it's up to the individual Music Director at the radio stations to play it!. And that depends on 2 things!.
1!. The MD has to like it!.
2!. The relationship between the record company rep and the MD!. If they don't like each other, it won't be aired!.
