How do stoplights detect a car?!

Question: How do stoplights detect a car!?
Answers:
Some intersections have wires in the road to detect weight!. Others have a laser beam to detect vehicles above the surface!. These lights won't turn green until there is traffic there!. The main intersecting road will stay green until the minor road has traffic to go through!.

also, these intersections have buttons for pedestrians to push in order to cross!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

They don't, but the cameras usually have sensors on them!. I know some side streets that merge with a very busy street have them or we would never be able to get out, Some of them are noise sensitive, so when I get to the light, I will beep my car horn just lightly and sometimes the light will change quicker, not all of them though!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
