Married, with a child, and going to trade school, and was anticipating being re-called back into the Army, for Viet Nam!. (I enlisted at 17!.5 and had already served a 4 year hitch with 2 more years in Reserves!.)
I was NOT re-called though, maybe because I had too many dependants !?
Camaro, don't be ashamed at what you have, or haven't done (a long as it's nothing dis-honest, or immoral)!.
If you have the guts to face life's challenges, like a man, then you WILL do the right thing!.
Being 23 isn't THE END!, and believe me going into the Marines isn't a "death sentence", it might be the kick in the pants that you need!.

I am 24, 100% self made, and happy for the most part!.
I do not own a house but I have my own apartment (which I pay myself)
I own a car (which I bought myself)
I have a Bachelor's Degree (which I paid for myself)
I have a good job in my field (which I got myself)
I do not have kids
I am not engaged/married but if I found the right one, I'd settle down!. However, I don't mind be single at all either!.
I think you should have a direction in life and be independent at 23!. You don't have to have those things but if you woke up tomorrow (literally) and wanted those things, you should be able to get them!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I had the car my parents bought me as a graduation present, though I never drove it much (took the buses and ferries everywhere)!.
I was in community college, goofing off and having a good time!.

Oh and I wasted money and time on some random "medical assistant" school!.!.!. I dont have a career as a MA now either!. I would love to go back to school soon as I can get another student loan!. I work at some dead end hotel job working front desk!.!.!.!.

Had child #3 in the oven and just arrived back in the U!.S!., after living in Korea for several years!. Living at Ft!. Benning, Ga!. and it was miserably hot!. We had just purchased our first new car too!. At times, it would have been nicer to have waited to have children, but now in retrospect, am enjoying Grandchildren very much!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
