No, not really!. To me, the music that I listen to only sucks when I'm in a depressive mood!.
I must say I never liked the "old" rock, but the modern rock is amazing!. It describes all my feelings, gives them words!. I don't really listen to rap, cannot stand it!. Not that I'm ignorant, I don't "hate" any type of music, just can't stand them!. But rock sings more about life!.!.!.it's really clean music (most of them)!. I do like pop too, if it's japanese or korean!.!.!.I like clean music, not those "do drugs, hoes, weed, shoot" type of music, if you know what I mean!.
Some old music that I still like!.!.!.like George Michael's song "careless whispers", or "circle in the sand" by belinda!.
Some people just don't care about the lyrics, they just go with the beat!.!.!.cos they want to forget about their daily stress for sometime and get away with music!.!.!.if they can!. Each to their own I guess!.

I think the music today lacks the 'something something' that music from the past has!. I grew up in the '80s and I can still listen to some of the old boy groups and other artists and sing along!. I don't think this generation has that!.
I was just telling my friend the other day that there used to be a time when you would watch the Grammy's and with each nomination, you were like, "That's the one!." It was so difficult to select the "best!." These days, you just know it's Alicia Keys or whoever else gets the most radio play!.!.!.
And, the thing is, they are not even that good and they're being nominated!. That tells you there are few selections!.
You know what, there are good musicians out there, but they may not have the support of a popular music mogul or a big record company!. When I used to listen to worldly music, I would buy CD's from artists that were featured in different music magaizines and I could listen to their music from beginning to the end of the CD!. But, they got no radio play!. There is a singer named N'Dambi, for example!. She is such a wonderful talent, but I don't hear her music on the radio!.
To make this short, there is talent out there, but we only hear of the "talent" with the big money backing them!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

To be honest, more than half of the songs on the radio are very annoying!. Every once in a while they play a decent song, but most of it is garbage!. There are still good bands out there, though, such as Linkin Park!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
Today's music is okay!. There are a few songs that blow you away and you just know that they'll be memorable oneday!. I do think past era's have produced better songs though!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
