The most awful smell!. Kind of like a skunk but distinctly different!. One of our cats brought one in through the pet door!. It wasn't dead and the cat believed in the catch and release program (in the house) at 3 A!.M!. We ended up catching it in one of my tupperware bowls for lack of finding anything else last minute!. I ended up having to throw it out it was so nasty!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
It really depends!.
If you have them as a pet, and keep the cage clean, and feed them special rat food, they won't smell bad at all!.
But if they live on the street or something similar, they would probably smeel like poop, or garbage!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
