Yeah I would say so!. But there are people out there who are beyond repair anyway!. I mean, in some cases, putting a bunch of guys into a tough situation is gonna make them need to learn to be strong to survive, and if you put them in a soft situation they don't learn their lesson, so it's difficult to say what to do with prisoners!. Maybe actual solitary confinement for their whole sentence would work, but then people would complain that it's mistreating them so it's complicated!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

The amount of prisoners that re-offend when they come out, is far too many, so that just proves it don't work!
I personally would like to put them all onto a dessert island in the middle of the sea, make them hunt for their food, and leave them too it, of course they wouldn't be able to escape, due to sharks in the waters surrounding them, plus an electric wire running around the island, at least if they were out there, it would save on the tax payers money on electricity and food to keep them etc!Www@Enter-QA@Com

there needs to be humliation
no rights in there,
people are in there for a reason

I recently read an article that the prison officers looking after Ian Huntley have been told that he must be addressed as Mr Huntley or Ian as he is on suicide watch and feeling down and vulnerable!. He also has 3 meals a day choice of music , gym training kit , a choice of cloths to wear , satellite tv!.
Think about the amount of people that are outside that do not eat at all and this wanker gets this treatment for doing what he did and many others!. Because otherwise they will go bleating to the court of human rights saying they are being abused its a joke!. Imagine how a prison officer feels having to bow down to a tosser like Ian Huntley!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Well, no not really, If a felon is going to be a felon he is not going to change!. The system all ready knows this!. More people go to prison than ever now because they are mentally ill, not just bad!. The prisons are becoming babysitter!.

No!. I just read in the newspaper about 2 murders at Granite State Reformatory in Oklahoma!. These 2 died in a gang fight!. And then the article went on to say it was the forth one this year!. One guy was murdered just 30 minutes after being transferred, and an 18 year old inmate was murdered after trying to get his family to mail more protection money to him!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
The fact is!.!.!.few of us actually know what prison life is like!. We just want to feel that criminals suffer for what they do!.

Yes, I agree!. We had an incident here in Dublin where one of the female prisoners escaped while taking a driving lesson!. This is a serious story!. She was eventually caught in a local McDonalds restaurant!. Most of our convicts have mobile phones, internet access and can do what they want from behind prison walls!. What a joke!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
